Working within the Housing Programme Management and Systems Support team this role will play a key part in the management of the Councils fully integrated and comprehensive Housing Management System (currently CAPITA Open Housing).
We are currently reviewing the key priorities that will deliver improvements to the way we use the system in order to manage the Authorities housing assets, repairs, voids and rental income in order to provide more efficient and streamlined working practices.
You will provide technical administration for the Council’s housing management software systems, ensuring business processes are both efficient and effective and maximise the use of mobile working and customer self – service technologies.
Working knowledge of Capita Open Housing would be an advantage, however candidates with experience of system support and configuration with other similar systems will be considered. You will ideally have experience of working with operational users on the front line within a similar organisation, together with strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to be able to diagnose technical problems quickly with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
The role requires you to manage, maintain, reconcile, develop and configure Open Housing (Capita social housing management solution), as well as providing day-to-day system admin support, assistance and guidance for all Open Housing users.
You will also provide system admin support for projects working across departmental teams, including configuration of new Open Housing modules and new functionality; systems testing, the co-ordination of User Acceptance Testing and providing user guides and training prior to going live.
Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are committed to agile and flexible working practices, subject to business need. We believe that work is something we do and not somewhere we go; we want our staff to feel enabled and empowered to fully embrace these opportunities.
For an informal discussion only please contact Julia Barker, Housing Programme Manager, on (01449) 724856 (4856) or 07584 664954.
