We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative person to join our Economy and Regeneration team, someone who shares our values, commitment and motivation to make a real difference for our districts.

As part of our vision to drive economic ambition, innovation and deliver new higher wage jobs and support our many fast growing businesses in the districts, we have restructured our Economy and Regeneration teams and are excited to be recruiting for the role of Inward Investment and Innovation Coordinator.

In this role, you will support the growth of existing businesses in the districts and attract new businesses from out of district through a range of initiatives.

Ideally, you will have significant experience in stakeholder management, and will have worked with large and small businesses and multiple partners to deliver innovative projects that will help raise the profile of the district to potential investors.

We are seeking creative, innovative and output-focused people to join our team. You will work with a range of committed partners and stakeholders across the districts to raise aspiration, deliver key, high value projects and enhance the profile of our places as areas of significant business and economic growth.

This role is normally based at our modern and conveniently located office accommodation, however, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been working from home and it has worked really well for us.

We are proud of the role we play in creating the environment, economy and communities for our districts. Babergh and Mid Suffolk have consistently been voted amongst the top places to live in the UK.

Working together across our councils and with our partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors, we provide excellent services to our 190,000 residents across Babergh and Mid Suffolk – working hard to provide homes, support our communities, boost local economy, protect our environment and keep our districts clean, tidy and safe.

We are committed to agile and flexible working (subject to business need), with full time, part time or job share opportunities considered. Supporting equality and diversity, Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils provide opportunity and ambition for all, enabling and empowering our people to deliver the best possible results for our residents.

We offer a generous leave entitlement, access to the Suffolk Green Travel Plan, discount scheme and pension scheme.  We also offer a range of training and development and will give you all the support you need, for your career and wellbeing.

For an informal discussion about this role please call Michelle Gordon on 07922 416690, or email: michelle.gordon@baberghmidsuffolk.gov.uk
