We are looking for a Team Leader who shares our values, commitment and motivation to make a difference for our districts.

You will take responsibility for the management and provision of the responsive maintenance service and the void repair service. This will involve management and day-to-day supervisory responsibilities of a multi-skilled trades team, undertaking all aspects of building maintenance work ranging from minor repairs to larger building projects.

You will have a relevant qualification at HNC, HND or NVQ4, or equivalent experience. You will have experience of budget management, supervision of trade operatives, good IT skills and an up-to-date knowledge of regulation and enforcement in relation to health and safety in the construction industry.

We are looking for someone who can work cooperatively within a team environment, demonstrates the ability to prioritise conflicting demands when under pressure and can communicate effectively.

A full UK Drivers Licence is required for this role.

We are proud of the role we play in creating the environment, economy and communities for our districts. Babergh and Mid Suffolk have consistently been voted amongst the top places to live in the UK.

We are committed to agile and flexible working (subject to business need), with full time, part time or job share opportunities considered.  Supporting equality and diversity, Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils provide opportunity and ambition for all, enabling and empowering our people to deliver the best possible results for our residents.
