Suffolk County Council's communications team exists to support the council in delivering its 2017-2021 policy priorities. These two new roles are focused specifically on helping the county respond and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic – one of the biggest challenges we’ll ever face. Working as part of a wider team, you will add value and expertise by delivering campaigns that use behavioural insights to drive change, shaping and sharing information and protecting and enhancing the council's reputation.

We are looking for two Communications Officers with recent and relevant experience of working in a busy communications environment. Working with other communications professionals, politicians and service experts, you will work on multiple communications campaigns.

You will also protect and enhance the council's reputation - including working with the media and communicating effectively with council colleagues and partners. Your role will be critical in keeping stakeholder and the public informed about COVID-19, including being responsible for important bulletins and databases.

Our team is quickly becoming a centre of excellence for delivering campaigns and using behavioural insights. We strive to make a real difference - bringing creativity and turbo-charging communications and campaigns.
