Suffolk Family Carers is a respected charity that is passionate about delivering services to meet the needs of family carers of all ages. We provide a range of services to support adult, young adult and young carers across Suffolk.

We are looking for two full-time Family Carer Advisers to work with GP practices, in East and West Suffolk, to help in the identification and support of family carers.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships within the healthcare community, including GPs, practice managers and nurses, and all other relevant clinicians. As a Family Carer Adviser, you will be providing monthly identification sessions within GP practices, whereby family carers can drop-in for information advice and guidance, as well as working with family carers on a one-to-one basis, helping them to improve their wellbeing.

You will have excellent communication skills and experience of working with service users on a one-to-one basis. You will have the ability to build positive relationships and will possess a good understanding of the effect the caring role has on an individual and their families.

There is flexibility around working hours as well as attractive employee benefits. Suffolk Family Carers is located on a rural business park, easily accessible from the A14 and 4 miles from Ipswich.
Interested? We would like to hear from you.
