In Suffolk we are proud to run Youth Lowestoft, supporting young people living in Lowestoft to realise their full potential. We have an exciting opportunity as we are recruiting an Outdoor Project Worker. This is a new role within our organisation.
The Outdoor Project Worker will help to deliver YMCA Trinity Groups Youth Services across Lowestoft, with a focus on providing informal learning at our Water Lane Allotment.
You will help develop self-esteem and confidence in young people, improving wellbeing, encouraging healthy life choices and raising aspirations.
This work will serve all young people in the community, with a focus on those young people who are disadvantaged and most at risk of engaging in unhealthy and/or destructive lifestyles.
YMCA Trinity Group Youth Services strive to deliver excellent and relevant services to the community. With young people being the driving force behind our work, all projects are young person led.
You will be friendly, approachable and have an ability to communicate effectively with young people. You will have a recognised vocational qualification in a related area, experience of working with children young people and be able to drive.
You will have an interest in gardening and growing produce. In addition, you will need to have a good standard of literacy and be competent in using Microsoft.
