40 hpw, Monday - Friday. 36 hpw will be considered. You must be able to work shifts that align with 8am - 1pm and / or 1pm - 6pm session times.

This is a rare opportunity, reporting to Clair Hallums, Nursery Manager, to work across the setting at Buttons & Bows Nursery. 'Buttons' is a 71-place, all-year-round setting for children aged 0 - 5. The team is busy with a number of projects this year including a significant re-development of our spacious garden to complement our company-wide commitment to outdoor learning.

You will be one of four seniors working in the leadership team and must be qualified to level 3 or above.

Your fellow seniors lead their own room but, unusually, you will be out-of-ratio for most of your time to:

  • promote quality of practice in all rooms
  • mentor new staff
  • assist with project work to benefit the whole setting
  • run family events
  • support groups of children
  • act as PIC in manager's absence
  • step in to cover your colleague's rooms as necessary when they are PIC, on leave or other work out-of-ratio.

As part of the Bows & Arrows Group, our practitioners enjoy a competitive salary, regular training, holiday increasing with service, discounted childcare, paid sick leave and good career opportunities.

Aim High! Bows & Arrows Group.

* £9.80 ph.

You can call Clair Hallums in confidence on (01473) 680530 for an informal chat.

To apply, please send your CV with a short covering letter to Clair via email: manager@buttonsandbowsnursery.co.uk

Closing date: 19 November 2019.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and require all staff to share this commitment. DBS checks are compulsory.
