Long Stratton Leisure Centre is going through a £2 million investment ensuring our facilities are the best in the area. We will be the go to venue offering a state-of-the-art fitness facility, two studios, a main sports hall, a state of the art 3G Pitch, café and a soft play area.
Our exciting fun filled Kids Camp takes place every school holiday. Children aged 5 - 15 can enjoy a programme full of activities.
As a Kids Camp Supervisor, you will be involved with working with the Kids Camp Manager to meet Ofsted requirements and standards, complying with Kids Camp policies and ensuring that the health and safety of children is kept at a consistently high standard. Kids Camp Supervisor role duties include planning, preparing and delivering programmes which include sport and non-sport activities.
The Co-ordinator job role involves making sure parents and children are welcomed into the Leisure Centres at the start of every day and monitoring the children you are working with at all times. Planning, preparing and delivering the activities. You will also assist the Kids Camp Supervisor in fulfilling their daily responsibilities as necessary.
The Assistant job role involves welcoming parents and children into the Leisure Centres at the start of every day. You will focus on the children, ensuring they are enjoying their time with us. You will also assist the Kids Camp Supervisor and Co-ordinator with the panning, preparation and delivery of the activities.
Other responsibilities will include:
- engaging with the children throughout the day
- resolving any issues as they arise
- ensuring the venue is kept safe for the children.
You must have:
A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in childcare for the Supervisor / Co-ordinator role, alongside recent experience of working with children and young people in a play work setting. A Level 2 qualification is desirable for our Assistants. You will also need to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, the ability to organise activities, manage workloads, and work effectively in a small team to ensure all customers receive an excellent service.
