We are also seeking applications for those looking for ad hoc hours- mornings and / or afternoons.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and flexible person to work in our large Out of School club based at a primary school in Ipswich.

The Cabin Crew is a committee-run organisation with charitable status. Established in 1996, we have grown into a successful, respected club, mainly by the efforts of the staff team, many of whom have been here since the beginning.

This could be ideal for those working or developing towards a career in childcare or education, who are looking for an opportunity to complement their studies with hands-on experience.

The Playworker's role includes engaging with the children in aspects of play and conversation, supervising the children, ensuring their safety whilst allowing them to take risks, providing equipment and activities to stimulate their imagination and offering a friendly smile and a listening ear at the end of a long school day.

You must be enthusiastic, honest, reliable, hardworking and most importantly willing to have fun and enjoy working with children. You will be fully supported in your role by an established provider of out of school care. You will have a natural rapport with primary age children.

Level 2 / 3 in Childcare and / or Playwork is desirable, but we would welcome applications from those willing to train towards a qualification.

An application pack can be downloaded from the related information section.

The Cabin Crew is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. A confirmed offer of employment will be subject to pre-employment checks.
