Based at Riverside, Lowestoft and East Suffolk House, Melton.

East Suffolk Council is committed to delivering a large number of critical regeneration and development projects in the district and is looking for a dynamic and experienced Regeneration and Growth Manager to drive this exciting and wide-ranging programme forward.

You will manage and lead the work of the East Suffolk Regeneration Team and take responsibility for delivering objectives on time and within budget, coordinating resources, identifying, managing and escalating risk, providing recommendations and reporting on progress in relation to the East Suffolk Regeneration and Development Programme. You will also ensure the programme receives suitable promotion and publicity and engage with stakeholders who may be potentially affected by emerging proposals.

You will have a proven track record in developing and delivering major projects in a regeneration, planning or development role. You will also have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, political sensitivity and the ability to independently plan and implement work which crosses service and organisational boundaries to ever changing deadlines. Mobility within the district is essential as there will be a requirement to travel.

In return, we can offer a great opportunity to make a real difference within a dynamic economy which includes the world’s largest offshore windfarm development, proposed new nuclear power station, BT’s global R&D headquarters and the country’s busiest container port all within one of the most beautiful parts of the country with a vibrant and growing visitor economy.

We are committed to improving the quality of life for everyone living in, working in and visiting east Suffolk. We want you to stay with us for the long-term, so we’ll give you all the support we can to build a great career within our organisation including great opportunities for training and development. There’s also a superb benefits package including flexible working options and purpose built brand new office accommodation, as well as a generous leave entitlement, discount scheme, pension scheme and free car parking.

Please read the job description and person specification on the right of the page before applying for this job.
