This job represents an exciting opportunity to be part of a team responsible for the collection and expenditure of the Community Infrastructure Fund (CIL) for both Babergh and Mid Suffolk on infrastructure across Central Suffolk.

If appointed, you would be working alongside other officers with a view to recovery of debt associated with non-collection of CIL which ultimately may result in formal action to recover funds following Court action. You will be proactively monitoring development commencement dates and installment payment plans to ensure CIL monies arrive to meet set deadlines; others you will be liaising with on a regular basis are the Councils Shared Legal team together with Parishes about timescales for payment of Neighbourhood CIL payments on debt recovery cases. You will also be advising on the operation of the CIL Regulations with regard to approved development and debt recovery and the formal processes involved when CIL payments are late or not made.

This role is normally based at our modern and conveniently located office accommodation, however, during the COVID 19 pandemic, we have been working from home and it has worked really well for us.
