Temporary 12 week internships available. 

All internships will start on 10 June 2019, so it is a perfect opportunity to invest in your future and gain employability skills this summer. 

Suffolk County Council, Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils, East Suffolk Councils and West Suffolk Councils are some of the local government authorities responsible for maintaining countywide public sector services within Suffolk.

Our aim is to lead as exemplar employers, offering opportunities to young people who are driven and want to make a difference to the people of Suffolk.

The internship programme is specifically designed for UK undergraduates who are seeking to gain and develop employability skills. This consists of a 12 week internship within a chosen council and department, with opportunities across the breadth of our organisations. We aim to provide the best opportunities across a range of services such as economic development and growth, HR, families and communities to name a few.

You can expect to be paid the National Living Wage for your hours worked, and you will be eligible to take off annual leave as and when accrued over the 12 weeks. Business travel expenses, where eligible, will be reimbursed.

Flexible working is actively encouraged throughout the councils.
