Do you want to work for an expanding service, committed to innovation and supporting staff to be the best they can be?
Suffolk County Council has won the contract to deliver the 0 - 19 Healthy Child Programme for the whole county. Our successful bid included a commitment to expand the school nursing service so that each school in the county will have a named health professional.
We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled staff nurses to join us as we start this work in September.
Our school nursing teams work with children and young people individually, and in groups to improve their resilience and promote healthy lifestyles so that they can maximise their opportunities for learning and development: key public health outcomes.
The school nurse teams will:
- run workshops in schools
- provide drop-in clinics
- work 1:1 with children, young people and their families
- work closely with the pastoral staff in schools to promote children’s safety, health and wellbeing
- promote ChatHealth (a secure and confidential text messaging service), a dynamic and accessible approach to supporting young people and their families.
We offer an attractive employment package, ideal for keeping a healthy work-life balance, including:
- term-time working
- Monday - Friday working
- flexible hours
- part time hours.
