East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people’s lives, delivering vital services to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk.

Rough sleeping attracts a significant level of concern and scrutiny both nationally and locally. An important part of this role will be to support tenants that have either slept rough or are new to the streets through a tailored housing pathway plan. You will be providing floating support to ensure not only individuals are able to secure suitable accommodation but are also able to manage and sustain their tenancies long-term. You will be working closely with the Rough Sleeper Coordinator regarding support on wider community Rough Sleeping initiatives, promoting joined-up partnership working and best practice across statutory and voluntary services.

To succeed in this role you will need to be a problem solver with relevant experience of working with a range of statutory and voluntary organisations in a Housing Related support context and have a sound understanding and working knowledge of the Homeless Reduction Act 2017 and housing management issues.

In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development and we’ll give you all the support we can to build a great career with our organisation. There’s also a superb benefits package including flexible working options, as well as a generous leave entitlement, discount scheme, pension scheme and free car parking.

Please read the job description and person specification before applying for this job.
