OneLife Suffolk are commissioned by Suffolk County Council to deliver the Integrated Healthy Lifestyle Service across the county.

We work every day to help people make healthy behaviour changes in an accessible, friendly and fun way. We know that one size does not always fit all, and that is why we have developed our own psychologically informed services to encourage our clients to make healthy choices that we are confident they can maintain.

We are non-judgemental and take pride in all our services which include Stop Smoking Clinics, weight management for adults and children, encouraging increased levels of physical activity, taking health walks and offering NHS Health Checks.

Due to the expansion of OneLife Suffolk, we need to recruit to a number of new posts so that we can continue delivering amazing services to Suffolk residents - after all, we are here to serve our local community.

We are looking to appoint a Training and Education Lead to join the team at this exciting time.

As you can imagine, this is a highly important role. Our services are our pride and joy and we have an outstanding team of delivery staff who work their magic every day to help Suffolk residents to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Outstanding teams are be supported by robust, accessible and 'on point' training that is relevant to their role, meets the requirements of legislation that governs our activity and, most of all, is fun.

This new role needs to be fulfilled by a creative individual who is an expert at training staff teams. You will be creating packages from scratch, utilising best practice guidance and existing 'go to' training interventions to develop effective training.

You will be supported by the Infrastructure and Improvements Manager to prioritise which packages must be developed first. Packages include a vast range of topics such as Motivational Interviewing, Train-the-Trainer, Staff Induction and Safeguarding to name but a few.

But that is not all, you will also be a key contributor and advisor for our commissioned training services which include Making Every Contact Count (MECC) training and Level 2 Smoking Cessation Advisor training. These sessions will be delivered by our Practitioners, but you will provide advice and guidance to ensure these sessions are accessible and delivered confidently and consistently across the county. You will shadow practitioners, provide constructive feedback and of course, assist in delivery as a part of the coaching process.

If you are looking for a new challenge and are passionate about the health of your local community and can fulfil the requirements of the Job Description and Person Specification, it would be great if you applied.

OneLife Suffolk may bring forward the closing date if sufficient numbers of appropriate candidates apply.
