Post 1 - Early Years Practitioners (Ipswich, Saxmundham, Leiston, Halesworth, Beccles and Stowmarket):
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is required alongside some experience of working with children aged 0 - 4. Tutors deliver short programmes for parents / carers that encourage parental involvement in children's learning with a focus on how to support children's development. Some courses for families include information around nutrition and physical activities as well as how parents can support communication, language and literacy.
Post 2 - Family Learning English, Maths and IT (Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Haverhill):
- Some knowledge of how English, mathematics and IT are taught in primary schools is needed and knowledge of the Adult Curriculum and delivery of Functional Skills. Courses focus on how parents / carers can explore ways of supporting their children's skills, at the same time as improving their own.
Post 3 - Parenting and Personal Confidence (Ipswich and Sudbury):
- To deliver courses aimed at parents developing effective strategies to encourage positive relationships. To deliver courses to parents / carers who want to build confidence and self-esteem, communication and interpersonal skills in a range of social setting.
Enhanced DBS with child barring check required. A probationary period applies.
