We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and skilful senior leader to join us as Head of Service – Data & Intelligence.
This is an exciting new post. You will lead the CYP & ACS Data & Intelligence teams to design and deliver effective intelligence and insight to both Directorates, and by so doing, support Suffolk County Council to meet the needs of people in Suffolk.
As a senior manager in data and intelligence, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, communicating, and promoting the use of data, insight and intelligence. This will provide the ‘single version of the truth’ which will drive ongoing organisational and system change. To do this you will have strong staff, project and change management skills, excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage large numbers of senior stakeholders, complex programmes and tight deadlines. You will play a major role in setting and delivering the strategic direction for both Directorates’ intelligence provision, and take a lead role in the development of strategies and plans for the improvement of systems, reporting and analytics, including comparative, statistical and predictive analytics where appropriate.
You will take a lead role, locally and regionally in responding to upcoming statutory demands for data and intelligence, as well as promoting the work of the department’s intelligence team as a leading force in local authority analytics at regional and national levels.
We would welcome applications from experienced leaders with excellent professional experience in a managerial, analytical and systems-based role. We would especially like you to demonstrate your ability to use intelligence to drive service improvement; to engage effectively with multiple senior stakeholders; and to develop and implement ambitious analytical programmes.
For an informal discussion, please contact Anna Crispe, Assistant Director – Knowledge & Intelligence on (01473) 260089.
Interview date: 31 July 2020.
