Believe, Engage, Achieve
Thumbs up to a new beginning!
Are you an agent of change?
Do you have a growth mind-set; believing anything is possible if you put your mind to it?
Do you want to help young people with social, emotional and mental health challenges re-engage with learning to enhance their life choices?
Can you help our pupils believe in themselves, engage with their learning, and achieve highly?
If the answer is yes, we want you to work with us to help transform the lives of our pupils and their families.
At The Albany we believe everyone matters, creating a family of young people and staff who grow and learn together. Pupils are grouped in cross phase classes taught in a primary methodology, enabling much stronger adult-pupil and pupil-pupil relationships to be fostered.
Our primary aim is to improve educational outcomes and build sustainable change within our children so that they become resilient, emotionally articulate young people able to positively engage in the next steps of their education.
We are looking for someone with the passion and ability to engage children and young people who communicate their needs through challenging behaviour, enabling accelerated progress. An ability to lead science with the support of a Deputy Head would be beneficial but not essential.
Whilst this opportunity suits both primary and secondary trained teachers, we are particularly keen to attract secondary teachers seeking to expand their knowledge and experience prior to leadership. The role is also suitable for NQTs looking to gain experience in specialist education.
