A fixed term / secondment opportunity has arisen to join the Service Development and Contracts Team for 11 months. 

This is a key role in supporting the work of the team in shaping the development of resources within Waveney to meet the requirements of Suffolk’s strategic vision and Principles and Duties of the Care Act

You will work as part of a team to support the development and services of the local provider market; support the local development of county-wide initiatives; contribute to the development of services to reflect integrated working with Health and other system partners, including timely hospital discharge and admission prevention; and have contract management responsibilities with local providers.

You will:

  • have an awareness of the commissioning cycle and contract management
  • have an understanding of the challenges of the provider market
  • have an awareness of the Care Act
  • have good networking skills
  • have good IT skills
  • be well organised
  • be able to show initiative
  • be resilient under pressure.
