You will be based at a Registration Office in either Ipswich, Lowestoft, Woodbridge, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury or Stowmarket, but will need to travel to venues in your area.

We are looking for a team of Ceremony Officers to register and / or conduct civil ceremonies and other celebratory services. These may be based at local authority ceremony rooms, religious buildings and other venues such as stately homes, golf and country clubs, barns and woodland venues around the county.

If successful, you will have an annualised hours contract (approx. 250 - 350 hours) and your manager will plan your working schedule with you. You must be available in the peak season for ceremonies (i.e. Easter to the end of October) and weekend working will be required.

You will:

  • meet couples and talk through their requirements
  • prepare scripts and associated paperwork
  • register marriages and civil partnerships in religious buildings
  • receive an enhanced payment for weekend working.

  • Ipswich: 24 January 2020, 5pm - 7pm or 25 January 2020, 10am - midday
  • Bury St Edmunds: 17 January 2020, 5pm - 7pm or 18 January 2020, 10am - midday
  • Lowestoft: 25 January 2020, 2pm - 4pm.
