Graduate Internships in Suffolk Schools

About

Graduate Internships in Suffolk Schools are one year (term time only), work-based training placements, designed to give you experience of working in a school prior to going onto teacher training or other professional qualifications.

This route is suitable for recent graduates who are still considering their career options and those considering a career change who want to get some paid, hands-on experience before committing themselves. The work experience opportunities are primarily in teaching but can potentially also include exposure to speech therapy, SEN, educational psychology or social work.

Graduate Interns on the Suffolk Schools Programme attend an induction session and receive training across the year. Support and advice are also provided on access to teacher training and other child-centred professions.

Graduate Interns on the Suffolk Schools Programme have gone on to successfully apply for teacher training on PGCE courses, SCITT, School Direct and Teach First and we now have former Graduate Interns teaching in Suffolk schools and in a range of other child-centred professions.

If you have, or are expected to have a 2:1 or above and are interested in placements starting next September please email teachsuffolk@schoolschoice.org to be added to our mailing list.
