Fixed term until Summer term 2020.

28.75 hpw (plus 0.5 hpw for planning and feedback), Monday - Friday, 8.50am - 11.45am; 12.40pm - 3.30pm, 38 weeks per year.

Sebert Wood Primary School is a vibrant, nurturing community school with children who are eager to learn, encouraged and inspired by a friendly team of staff and supportive parents.

We are seeking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to share the support of a child with social and emotional difficulties, some of which can be challenging at times.

The role is varied, challenging and rewarding, it demands high levels of motivation and commitment along with the ability to promote positive relationships with parent / carers and staff from other statutory agencies in order to support the educational progress of the pupil.

You will possess empathy, personal resilience, understanding, patience and be passionate about working with children to provide a calm learning environment.

We are seeking an experienced applicant that is motivated, confident, demonstrates the ability to use their initiative, works effectively within a team to support the work of teachers in providing high quality learning opportunities for the pupil.

Full training and support will be provided but experience of working with children with social and emotional issues is desirable.
