Our popular infant and junior schools, based on separate sites, have been successfully collaborating for around 12 years and in a Federation for 4 years.
We are seeking to appoint a cover supervisor/higher level teaching assistant who will form positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents and uphold the strong, caring ethos and inclusive environment of both schools.
Whilst an HLTA qualification is desirable it is not essential, and we would welcome applications from experienced teaching assistants that possess the confidence and skills to teach whole classes.
The role involves teaching classes from nursery to year 6 during staff planning, preparation and assessment time and periods of short-term absence and providing support in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils by working with individuals or groups of pupils when whole class cover is not required.
Although technically two schools, we work on a 'one school two sites' principle and are eager to find someone who can demonstrate real enthusiasm and a flexible and adaptable approach to their work.
You must also be committed to supporting children in enjoying their learning and achieving and will need to be a good communicator with very good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. Minimum requirements are 5 GCSEs at grade A*- C or equivalent, including English and mathematics.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
If you require additional information please contact Libby Winton, School Business Manager via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org or on (01394) 284052.

Completed applications should also be submitted to the School Business Manager on the above email address.
Interview date: 13 June 2019.
Our schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff to share this commitment. The post is subject to satisfactory references, health check and an enhanced DBS check.
