Working a minimum of 5 lunchtimes per week (6.25 hpw), term time only.

We want lunchtimes at our school to provide positive, purposeful and playful experiences for all our pupils. In this part time post you will be responsible for the safe supervision of pupils during the lunch break.

You should be able to model correct dining etiquette when supervising children having their lunch. You will also need the ability to play and be playful, thinking creatively to engage with pupils.

The role usually requires a focus in one of the dining areas or the playground, but you may need to work in other areas of the school as required.

You will have experience of working with or supervising children.

You must be able to:

  • follow recognised procedures and policies
  • use your own judgement and common sense to resolve straightforward problems
  • identify more complex problems and refer to appropriate member of staff
  • be flexible.

Knowledge of safeguarding policies and first aid procedures is desirable although on the job training will be given.
