  • £17,842 pro rata
  • 30 hpw, 39 weeks per year.
  • Monday to Friday 9am - 3pm (30-minute lunch break).
  • Required from April 2021.

You will be required to undertake the role of a Midday Supervisor each day.

DEMAT and St Christopher's Primary are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who has a caring, committed, enthusiastic and energetic approach and has the experience of building positive relationships with children. The TA role includes supporting pupils either in a whole class setting, through small groups or 1.1 support when required.

You will have:

  • good English and maths skills (GCSE or equivalent advisable)
  • good communication skills
  • ability to use basic IT equipment and computer programmes
  • dedicated, inspiring, engaging and have good organisational skills
  • flexibility to adapt duties and responsibilities as per the needs of the pupils in your care
  • the ability to use your own initiative and be flexible
  • experience of working with children with challenging behaviour
  • a sound understanding of the skills required to support young children's learning
  • experience in working with children who have special education needs
  • the ability to transition and track pupil progress through intervention
  • the willingness to undertake further training and development
  • experience in working with children who have special education needs
  • the ability to create a safe and positive environment for the pupils
  • the willingness to undertake further training and development.
