The Special Educational Needs and Academies Trust (SENDAT) is a Multi Academy Trust whose provisions support a range of needs including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health and Behavioural (SEMH) needs. Our core aim is to provide for the continuum of special needs across the Eastern region.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Family Support Worker to join Peile, a joint project between SENDAT, the Active Learning Trust and Suffolk County Council to support KS3-4 classes at Chantry Academy.
As part of a small, close-knit SENDAT team, you will work in close conjunction with staff colleagues in the host school to provide high quality support and guidance to students and their families who are accessing the SENDAT Mulberry provision. Your core purpose will be to raise expectations and aspirations and facilitate academic progress, working with students to build their self-esteem and a sense of pride in their achievements.
As a SENDAT employee, you will play a key role in the start-up and development of these ambitious new provisions, and be instrumental in providing a real, positive impact on the educational and life outcomes for students with SEND.
Further information about the provision at: https://sendat.academy/gippingnew/
You will also have access to:
- a wide range of CPD opportunities;
- a range of employee benefits including pension, Health Care benefits and Cycle2Work scheme;
- a supportive working environment
