15 hpw, 10am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday. This is a mainly term time position (34 weeks per annum) and non-residential, there is some flexibility on start and finish times.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic weekend Boarding House Matron to join the pastoral team at Woodbridge School’s boarding house.
The role of a House Matron is one of trust and responsibility and therefore plays a key part in ensuring the wellbeing of the pupils residing in the boarding house.
You will have a special role in assisting the wider boarding house team to create a happy, respectful and caring atmosphere in the house, and will also work collaboratively with the housekeeper and school medical team to ensure continuity of pupil health and welfare.
We are looking for someone who has a clear understanding of the pastoral care provision as well as having a flexible, resilient and empathetic approach, coupled with a caring and cheerful disposition. First Aid training will be provided if necessary.
Qualifications and / or experience in childcare, training in nursing or in a health and social care setting would also be an advantage.
