Suffolk County Council and Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) work jointly to provide integrated mental health services for adults under a S75 Partnership Agreement.

Although relevant experience of working with individuals with mental illness will be an advantage, we will be able to provide developmental opportunities and training to a social worker who is highly motivated to work in this service setting.

You will join the very supportive and dynamic Coastal Integrated Delivery Team which supports service users with severe and enduring mental illness and their carers in the Ipswich and Coastal community. You will hold responsibility for managing a caseload of service users with whom you will be co-producing and reviewing packages of care, and work as part of a busy but supportive multi-disciplinary team. The ability to network and liaise with care partner agencies and stakeholders we be key skills in order to meet service user needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated social worker with demonstrable experience in mental health to work within a progressive team whilst receiving the best possible support and development to grow your career. In return you will be offered regular professional supervision and appraisal. Training is available from both Suffolk County Council and NSFT. There will be the opportunity to undertake AMHP training subject to satisfactory experience and interview. There is also the opportunity to support students within the team and undertake the Practice Educators qualification.

If you have an up to date AMHP qualification, you will be appointed at Grade 6 subject to participation on the local AMHP rota, otherwise you will be appointed at Grade 5.

You will be required to travel frequently in rural areas, so you must hold a full and valid driving licence and have access to personal transport.

* plus £2,645 pa honorarium for full time participation in the AMHP daytime rota (if applicable).
