We will be delivering a range of exciting projects to support our local communities and businesses to bounce back after the global coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, we are looking for skilled project managers to fill various roles across the One Team. These roles will play a key part in coordinating the projects and leading in their delivery over the coming months.


Project Manager (Skills and Education) - Circa £35,485 - £40,770 per annum

Project Manager (Economic Development) - Circa £35,485 - £40,770 per annum

Project Manager (Housing, Adaptations and Prevention) x 2 - Circa £35,485 - £40,770 per anum

Project Support Assistant (People & Communities) - Circa £26,493 per annum


Contract Type: 12 - 18 Months FTC

Location: The House, Long Stratton, NR15 2XE/Thorpe Lodge, Norwich, NR7 ODU

Skills and Education

We’re looking for someone who can lead the development of a skills and training programme. The programme will involve a mix of direct delivery, joint working with external partners as well as influencing local and national agendas, and therefore the ideal candidate will have experience of developing programmes within this sector, and / or understanding of the barriers to employment and training.

Housing, Adaptations and Prevention

We're looking for two people who can lead on the development of our Housing, Adaptations and Prevention Projects. These people will help facilitate and enable the transformation of services across the councils that secure the best possible outcomes for local residents, businesses and visitors to focus on driving forward the change programme.


What you’ll be doing…  

  • Project and programme manage teams to deliver key corporate council projects and programmes, undertaking programme management responsibilities for cross-cutting council projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, in a business-like and commercial manner and aligned to the corporate strategy.
  • Develop business cases including financials and project/programme plans to deliver key council transformation/innovation projects and programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, in a business-like and commercial manner and aligned to the corporate strategy and service improvement and delivery plans.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, to design innovative solutions and establish requirements and priorities.
  • Act as the operational lead for performance and continuous improvement in your service area specialism, ensuring regular strategic reviews of performance are delivered in conjunction with the central transformation and innovation team and accordance to the corporate performance timelines for CMLT and member level. Ensure the councils and teams promptly and effectively address areas of poor performance to ensure the services delivered to our customers are of a high standard.


The suitable candidates will have the following…

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
  • Experience of leading change/transformation projects/programmes to deliver improved benefits.
  • Experience as a project manager in a fast paced, delivery environment.
  • Experience and competence in financial management of projects.
  • Excellent ability to think innovatively to manage and develop solutions to new problems and developing ideas across the organisation.
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in system and process improvement techniques and transformation methodologies.
  • Demonstratable experience of managing performance in a complex environment, working closely with senior officers and members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to advise and influence senior officers, members and stakeholders.
  • Experience of full project lifecycle in a structured environment; especially system specification, procurement, training, testing and implementation of 3rd party products.
  • Demonstratable analytical skills to deliver service improvement.
