Contract Type: Fixed term for 24 months.

Other key information: Will require shift working over evenings and weekends (opening hours M - F 16:30 - 21:30, S/S 09:00 – 18:00) and the desire to learn and develop

What you could be part of…

The Council has developed a relationship with Framingham Earl High School and from April 2020 will take over the management of the Community Sports Centre at the site. We will put our expertise and experience of running dual-use sports facilities to good use, bringing new customers to the centre.  Our Team Leaders will ensure the facilities are kept safe for all our users and gives you the ability to develop within the leisure industry.


What you’ll be doing…

  • Leading a team of Recreation Assistants to deliver a first-class service
  • Operational day to day management of the building and the teams in the absence of the Duty Manager
  • Ensuring the centre is well run and ready for business, as well as health and safety compliant
  • Supporting the Duty Manager
  • Assisting with touring prospective members


You must have…

…or be prepared to complete a First Aid and Health and Safety qualifications. Good communication skills and a sound knowledge of health and safety policy and procedures are also essential for this role. Along with experience leading and working as part of a large and diverse team.
