Required from September 2019.

We are Complex Needs School (formerly Chapel Road School) for pupils with moderate, severe or profound learning difficulties, ages of 3 to 19 and have moved into a brand new, spacious building in Old Buckenham in January 2018.

We are looking for a teacher to job share in our Primary ASD class for two days per week. As we are continually expanding our teaching team as the school grows, there is a high possibility that other teaching posts may arise.

You will be working in the primary department with 3 teaching assistants in our ASD class of 6 pupils.

We are looking for confident and creative practitioners, with an eye for detail to facilitate learning for every pupil.

Excellent working knowledge of ICT, a full commitment to continuous professional development, high quality organisation, communication and people skills are required for this post.

You will need to work closely and effectively with your class team and department, with the school support team, pupils' families and other partners. The school runs a comprehensive programme of professional development; full training, induction and mentoring will be given.

Your work will cover all aspects of children's learning, including promoting independence, social & emotional and personal development, in line with the School's ethos and policy.

We are seeking colleagues with enthusiasm and passion, who will be fully committed to our new Chapel Green School in Old Buckenham and the challenges and opportunities this will bring.

Applications are welcomed from teachers, with experience in special education from mainstream and /or special schools.

We warmly invite you to come and visit our school. We have pre planned time for interested candidates at 9.30am, 24 June.

For further details and an application form for this post, please contact Sue Peacock on (01953) 453116 or via email: speacock@chapelgreenschool.org.uk

Completed applications should be returned via email to: speacock@chapelgreenschool.org.uk or posted to the school: Chapel Green School, Attleborough Road, Old Buckenham, Norfolk NR17 1RF.

Interview date: 8 July 2019.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects of all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This includes obtaining references and ensuring compliance with the DBS process. We are an equal opportunities employer and are part of the Norfolk Well-Being scheme.
