Causton Junior School has a primary SSC called Robins for children with moderate learning difficulties. We have 20 children in Robins that all have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). At the moment we teach children in Year 2 - Year 6 in Robin Class. Robins is staffed by 6 staff including the lead teacher that are flexible in working across the unit to meet the varying needs of the children. The children are split across 2 classes based on their primary needs.
Causton Junior has a team of staff that are dedicated to the welfare of all our young people. Our staff go the 'extra mile' to ensure that children Enjoy, Achieve and Thrive. As a school we have adopted 'The Thrive Approach' as a way of supporting our young people
We are looking for a staff member who:
- is creative
- has knowledge and proven experience of EY and KS1 planning and assessment
- has strong leadership skills of children and staff
- is positive, happy and motivated
- feels passionate about opportunities for SEND pupils.
You should be adaptable and flexible and able to liaise and communicate well with colleagues, parents, multi-agencies and the wider community.
