GCSE English results have been excellent over the last few years. In 2019, the school achieved 74% Grade 4+ in English and mathematics. 81% of students achieved a Grade 4 or better in at least one of their English GCSEs.
We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to teach English across the age and ability range and support our quest for classroom excellence through innovative and creative teaching and learning. You will be passionate about teaching English, committed to motivating students to reach their full potential and will contribute to our whole school development and the raising of standards.
This post would be suitable for a new entrant to the profession or a colleague seeking to broaden their experience. Claydon High School, in liaison with local providers, provide an excellent support programme for newly appointed staff. We pride ourselves on our positive hardworking ethos and collegiate atmosphere.
Claydon High School is a popular mixed comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich, easily accessed from the A12 and A14.
