Required from September 2019, or sooner if possible.

The North Lowestoft Pupil Referral Partnership is a partnership of three thriving and successful units, First Base, Harbour and Old Warren House.

Old Warren House is a KS4 PRU that supports pupils in the northern area of Suffolk and is based in Lowestoft who, for a variety of reasons, have found the mainstream school environment too challenging.

As a teacher at Old Warren House you will be working to implement new ideas and initiatives with the Executive Headteacher, School Leadership Team and staff working as part of a cohesive and supportive team.

You will need to be:

  • an experienced and effective teacher, able to teach mathematics to GCSE level
  • committed to raising the achievement of pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • able to work well in a small team and with outside agencies and parents
  • enthusiastic, empathic, a good communicator and non-judgemental.

The ability to teach or oversee the teaching of ICT is desirable but not essential.

Visits are welcome and informal discussions can be arranged by contacting the Head of School, Sandra Mahoney on (01502) 511794.

Further details and an application form are available from Keeley Smart, Business Manager, Old Warren House, Warren Road, Lowestoft, NR32 4QD or via email: keeley.smart@oldwarrenhouse.suffolk.sch.uk

Please return the completed application form to the school.

Interview date: w/c 17 June 2019.

Previous applications received will be held over to the new closing date.

This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks or police vetting will be required for relevant posts. Suffolk County Council - welcoming diversity.
