SENDAT is a Multi Academy Trust focusing provision for a range of complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Stone Lodge Academy supports young people with Cognition Learning difficulties, with a range of diversity and need. Stone Lodge joined SENDAT in November 2019 and plays a key role in the trust’s provision of SEND across Suffolk and its border counties.

Stone Lodge continues to expand its provision and we now seek an inspirational SEND teacher who is able to deliver and support outstanding SEND teaching in Humanities (including RE) across KS2 / 3 / 4.

Applications from NQTs who have already gained some experience in working with students with SEND and have the potential to grow and develop rapidly in a teaching role within a Special Needs environment will be welcome.

SENDAT has a strong ethos for developing core literacy and numeracy whilst also developing the ‘whole child’, promoting self-esteem, confidence and social skills. We offer professional training and development to enhance your knowledge and understanding of SEND, professional mentoring and small teaching groups.

As part of the SENDAT, we offer:

  • a range of benefits including pension, SimplyHealth ‘optimise health’ plan, cycle2work

  • opportunities for career development
  • a supportive and friendly working environment.
