Required from January or Easter 2020.

SENDAT is a Multi-Academy Trust focusing provision for a range of complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Priory School, a founder member of SENDAT, is an academy special school judged as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in November 2018. Priory currently has 189 places including 23 residential places. The age range is 5 - 18.

Priory School continues to expand its student roll and we seek an inspirational Teacher to take responsibility for a KS2 tutor group and deliver outstanding SEND teaching across the curriculum. Reception / Early Years teaching experience and curriculum knowledge would be advantageous.

We welcome applications from NQT's who wish to develop their career and have the potential, with support, to quickly develop into an outstanding Teacher in an environment where students have a range of complex moderate learning needs.

SENDAT has a strong ethos for developing core literacy and numeracy whilst also developing the 'whole child', promoting self-esteem, confidence and social skills. We offer professional training and development to enhance knowledge and understanding of SEND, with professional mentoring and small teaching groups.

As part of SENDAT (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Trust), we offer:

  • the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our students, who have a range of complex educational needs
  • career development opportunities
  • a supportive and friendly working environment
  • flexible working arrangements.

To request an application pack or to arrange an informal chat with the Head of School before applying, please contact Joy Kent on (01284) 761934 or email: joy.kent@sendat.academy

Closing date: 5pm, 15 November 2019.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks required for all posts. SENDAT - welcoming diversity.
